I have a question. What's a fist strip, and are you allowed to do them on caravan club sites?

It more a C&CC thing. Their sites are a bit more relaxed.

It involves a dance behind some strategically placed pampas grass, I believe, and the fun starts about 23:00, or 'Leaves off at 11' as the cognoscenti express it ... If it is a 'fist strip', I recommend trimming the finger nails first ...

I think the Ashbourne site is C&CC not CAMC.
I believe the latter have been phasing out those twist and lock bollards for a while now. I can't remember the last time I saw one.
