I don't have a breathaliser as there are many on the market but I don't know where to get a French approved one. Anyone know?

You will find them in all petrol station I would say , supermarkets, and shops like Norauto.
Just be sure you have the 2 letters NF on (Normes Françaises) . That's all ..... The law has not been voted yet ... so unless you are meant to go through France in 2 or 3 months , you don't need them.

A lot of the old information that was printed in 2011....does say the test kit will be Obligatory in spring 2012..... I have just been reading article (in a up to date magazine/Paper) saying the breath test kit will be in force on the 28th of February 2012 and the fine for not having a breath test kit on board /in your vehicle....will be 17 euros !!!! ????? ......what date do they class as....... Spring ....it is all very vague to say the least

What is the correct date,?...does anybody really know...:Doh:

Probably not,but as it seems like it's going to happen and as we will be coming back from Marjal through France end of April I have decided to treat it as if it is already in force and ordered mine yesterday.

I also ordered a CCI which, during postings last night, I confused with the EHIC card that Sedge reminded us about.

Mike.
ps.Does the Motor Home checklist still exsist ? I found that invaluable 3 yrs ago when we started :thumb:

Mike.. I will be doing the same.....buying one for the car and one for the motorhome for what little they cost..........But! me and the wife don't drink !!!!!!!!.....:Rofl1::Rofl1:Well maybe a quick glass of orange !, tea, coffee and odd times a 0% beer...whoops that's let the cat out of the bag...

(you never know it may come in useful if somebody bumps you that has been drinking)
