Why does your 2023 Ducato need it’s first 2 year service in 2024 instead of 2025?

I always have a yearly service , the same question would apply if i decided on a two yearly service .

I would just change the oil and filter. Use a genuine Fiat filter. DIY job or use a local mechanic. Then full Fiat service at year two.

The only question is " do you feel lucky" ok i'll leave off the punk. If you have a two year warrenty there is no need to have Fiat Pro to do the service as the warrenty period will be up, however, if you suffer from a major problem and want Fiat to be sympathetic you can gaureentee they wont be if youve not used Fiat pro. The other thing to consider is only Fiat pro dealers can do ecu updates and the norm is to check at first service. (or should be, but not always).

The difference is that the service is not due. As Fiat don’t require a 1 year service and having work done elsewhere might compromise your warranty you seem to have more to lose than gain. I would check first with Fiat Camper Assist, which comes free with the warranty.

Absolute beginners.
From memory, they have to be a VAT paying enterprise and make sure they used approved items.

I think the ECU would "bubble you up " if interrogated as it records lots of information about services 🤷‍♂️

If you are doing a service at 1 year rather than the specified 2 I'd do an oil and filter change, anything else is overkill.
Fiat spec oil is about £60. It's one if the easiest oil changes you could do. Everything accessible without ramps. Oil available in Halfords. Ineo or Shell helix ultra meets Fiat spec

Let me know if you manage to reset the oil service indicator once you change your oil.
I've changed my oil but the counter cannot be reset without plugging it into a fiat computer....

Doesn't need a Fiat computer, had mine done twice by independents.

I had a video link on YouTube sent to me which shows the series 8 oil degradation counter being reset.
I'd be interested to know how the service is reset. Not so much now as it's under warranty but once it's out of that I'll probably do independent fiat specialist ..👍
