Haven’t found it yet
We live in France and our first maintenance service A is due soon on our Free S600 (Sprinter 315) with 10k kms on the clock. We have received an estimate from our Mercedes dealer in Brive of nearly €742 ex-vat €900 inc-vat. The service includes a 'suplementary' item to flush the auto gearbox oil.

Labour charges (ex-vat) include :
Service A €147
Flush auto gearbox oil €127

Parts charges (ex-vat) include :
Engine oil €99
Auto gearbox oil €225.

We can't find any information on Mercedes websites about what is covered under the Service A and Service B schedules and whether the auto gearbox oilchange has to be carried out as part of the Service A schedule.

I guess we just have to swallow the cost and accept that's the price you have to pay for the Merdedes "premium" brand!!

It will encourage you to do more miles (kms) service interval for our sprinter based A class is 2 years or 20K miles

Price sounds about right based on U.K. main dealer prices

The first service is at 2 years with the ATF (auto transmission fluid) change that will then be for life. Mercedes here in the UK recognise the lower mileages on MH vs courier vans and change the service regime accordingly. You will also maintain Mobilo, the breakdown service by having your service carried out by MB.

BTW that is a good price for the ATF and change on the 9g box in compare to the UK

Many thanks Kaspar, that's really useful to know. We have had other responses from some French owners here too and it seems the price quoted is pretty reasonable.

I’m on my 3rd MB auto Sprinter based and on all of them there was a auto fluid change on the first service, then the next one is at about 50k miles I think, not kept any of them long enough to find out, my last (1st) service was May24 and cost £596.63 and of that £156 plus vat was the transmission oil
