Just replaced my flip down monitor with an Xtrons jobbie. The Xtrons unit does not have internal speakers, it has the normal Audio out cables or a Fm transmitter for the audio and I would rather not use either of them as I have would need the radio on. The monitor has 2 ports HDMI that will be used with a fire stick and a USB port, the question is would I be able to utilise the USB with a soundbar to get Audio?

You can also use the TV’s USB port to power the Firestick. It might not give enough oomph (technical term) for initial setup, but it will be okay for run it thereafter.

I did try that and it worked, so another plus.

I’ve just fitted the Xtrons 17.5 flip down and used a FM setting on the Xtrons and to my portable radio set at the same FM and it worked great but now I’ve paired it up with an Elexa micro dot speaker and that works better.

All sorted now, just been up the van and paired my Rockbox slice bluetoof speaker to the Fire Stick and it works a treat.
