Finally Bought One!

I know the feeling. I have a video handover, but I know when I eventually have the keys (6 weeks!) I will be terrified of doing something wrong before I set off. Good luck, you will find this Forum will hold your hand and answer questions. Happy travels. X

Welcome to the Forum.

Just checking; are you a missionary in East Kent, trying to bring the civilisation of cheese and onion pie and chips with gravy to the natives?

Welcome from Shropshire ,you will love the freedom and after 60years of motor homing we still love to get away and explore new areas sadly no longer with any dogs who all loved the van life. Have lots of Fun

We had a drive out today and it’s very quiet and smooth, surprisingly easy. It’s nearly 20 years old but has only got 29000 on the clock and the interior is very clean and tidy.

A handover video is an excellent thing and great to refer to. It’s great how friends all chip in with bits of useful advice. This forum looks terrific, the whole motorhome community seems great, we actually got waved at by several others today👍

Not only do you have the challenge of remembering everything at the 'handover' but will no doubt have to decide what extras you may want to 'invest' in. If you do not have the essentials to park off site, it can be a good idea to make your van self sufficient, so that should you wish to park in a field, you can be totally self reliant. Have a great time with your new van.

Tip for the OP:
Put an extra shed in the garden in which to store all the essentials that never get used.
;)

Bet you say that to all the boys! It’s actually 6 bent plastic panels, ebay, successful in stopping the dogs escaping 😉
