Filling water tank

While waiting to collect my van, I was doing some research on filling the water tank, people often mentioned hose falling out and spraying water everywhere!

So I was considering a hose adapter that wouldn't to the tank, so no need to hold the hose at all,
see here: Amazon product ASIN B00LZ12FSS
However, it does not look like it would work with my water tank as it does not have a bayonet but a screw connection!

Does anyone know where I might find what I am looking for but for the Burstner specific tank connection?

These are very useful (if they fit) but are quite expensive. They are also available from Vicarious Media for £9.99!

Made up my own from bits of garden stufff....

Old water container lid
Hose connector tap adaptor seem to have loads of these spare. Drill a suitable hole in the lid and screw it all together with a couple of rubber washers...
Seems to work.

Before you think I am being sarcastic, I abandoned hoses years ago. Actually I do carry a short length for rare occasions when I can stop by a tap. The normal hose connector will usually fit the filler and hold itself in...View attachment 365203

check that the connector is tight. I’ve managed to lose one into the tank:blush:
