I received a letter today for a safety recall on fiat Ducati. However the number to call 00800 3428 1111 does not appear to be correct.
Any body else found this? Or, has anyone a number for Fiat recall in the UK?
Thanks.

Think it's an international freephone number for them in Italy.

edit - possibly a dedicated number for this recall.

This is their "central" freefone number https://www.fiat.co.uk/contact-us

I got my letter yesterday. I called the number shown for motorhomes. The young lady didn't know what I was talking about! We later clarified that you can call this number and they can give you the contact info for nearest Fiat service point.

Interesting:

This was an issue on late 2019 and early 2020 Fiat based MH's.

our 2020 reg Rapido was checked spring 2020.

Sorry no comfort in that comment.

(edit) However before buying did a check on the fiat VIN which advised a recall so never had a notification checked before so prepared. (just in case)

(edit) sorry an after thought if you go to view an MH a quick photo of the weight plate gives you details of the loading etc but also the vin which if you talk nicely to a fiat pro garage will advise what's fitted and if any recalls and if they have been done.

Took ours in only to be told that as it is an A class the recall was not necessary, something to do with the routing of the brake pipes, give Walton Summit Fiat at Bamber Bridge a call and they will tell you there and then if you need the work doing and is just off the M65/M6

I have had two recalls in two days . The first was for asteering knuckle and the second for the brake pipe fixing.

i phoned our local fiat dealer (Swansea) and the young lady informed me that there are three outstanding recalls. The third is something t do with the battery. All booked in now

There used to be a way of checking online if your Fiat vehicle had recalls but can’t seem to find it now🤔

Its probably because they have had tens of thousands vehicles with these faults. My van has 3 recalls so for its a BIG pain!!

Luckily I got mine done before I collected the van from Germany that was three years ago now and no recalls since😊

The first Motorhome specific number took me a call centre in Italy. The second number took me to a call centre in Albania.
They are just there to register your acceptance and advice you to call the nearest Fiat dealer for an appointment. :Eeek:
Just ring the dealer - but you will need the van VIN number

Thanks Team for your suggestions.
It seems some mobile providers do not sign up for 00800 numbers, so you need to drive around the country looking for a telephone box
If you do get through to the number provided their response is "Call your nearest dealer"
Call your nearest dealer.
The UK Government web site tells me there is a recall. However, Fiat's own web site say no recalls. I will call the Fiat dealer on Monday.

Gosh
We had that letter a year ago on our then new motorhome.
Now I understand what's going on
When the fiat professional dealer does the pda they can't be bothered to check for recalls.

Took our 2020 Burstner to the local Fiat Commercial dealer, North East Truck & Van this morning. They did the recall while I waited. No booking required as no remedial work was needed. Very easy & convenient.

I received a letter and mine's a 2017, so earlier than yours. I'll just call my local Fiat dealer and get it done 😊

I just went on the website from the link in the letter to find my nearest dealer - Grays Garage in Warwick - they were very helpful, knew all about it, and got me booked in for early January. Easy!
