FIAT or Ford?

It's hardly a like for like comparison against 18 year old technology
I imagine an equivalent 18 yr old ford could be described the same

Not a good comparison unfortunately as 18 years ago the Ford Transit had the 2.5DI engine which was known to be totally bullet proof and was acknowledged to be the best van Fords ever produced.

We've had both ford legend 1987 and a
Fiat hymer 1996 both okay .

Have had 95 petrol Peugeot and 96 diesel vw. Vw nicer to drive!

Fiat are owned by Chrysler, which meanps you would have a Mopar. This pleases me.
