Fiat extended warranty/ Fiat assist

About to take out the above on a new A/T and am wondering how efficient the breakdown cover is in France/Spain, how long sat on the side of the road waiting for recovery and then time for repairs to take place etc?
I'm sure there are a few events/stories in this respect to be told (some good some bad) more of the former I hope!
Before, I have been with the CAMC and their Red Penant cover gets lots of plaudits.
Seems senseless to pay for 2 lots of cover, especially if the Fiat one is ok.

New 9 speed motorhome June 2020, didn't know about 14 day time limit until to late. Contacted Fiat Camper assist in Italy ( English speaking) played the Covid cards, then spoke to our local Fiat Professional dealer, all went through OK. Phew

On our new motorhome - August 2022 - Fiat assist is only 2years. It was 3 years on our 2020 motorhome, so it seems to have change recently.

I would check this out again and also check the Fiat Assist booklet. I was told by the supplying dealership that the Fiat Assist cover is 2 years for my van registered May 2021. This was confirmed by at least one Fiat Assist customer service rep that I spoke to. However, my booklet states quite clearly in black and white that any motorhome registered in the UK has 3 years cover. The Fiat Assist customer service rep thought it must have been a printing error! I persisted and eventually spoke to another Fiat Assist customer service rep who confirmed that it is in fact 3 years cover for UK registered vehicles. She explained that not all the Fiat Assist customer service reps had received the relevant training! My vehicle was manufactured for the French market according to their computer system hence only having 2 years cover. This is because it was built by Rapido in France and then shipped new to the UK. I was reassured to note that the RAC motorhome breakdown team who provide the contract for Fiat Assist in the UK are aware that it is 3 years cover from new which is all that matters really. So, they may have changed things for 2022 but I would check the booklet and if it says 3 years cover in the UK.....

Checked the Fiat Assist section and as you say it does show 3 years so I'm going to have to ring Fiat. The dealer told me 2years and I'm convinced I've read it somewhere in the paperwork that came with the motorhome , also a Rapido by the way.
