Anyone know how to identify the bhp of these engines.

Mine is a 2017 2.3 150 bhp euro 6 non ad-blu. Following a recent service (I'm now on holiday) I had to check the oil level which seemed on the low side of the tolerance. Must admit I never usually look at the engine.

Now the Hymer handbook shows pictures of the different engines and the picture that corresponds with mine says it's a 115. ???????

Is the book wrong? am I reading it wrong? or is the engine only 115 bhp and not 150?

For info: I believe max net power is listed in the vehicle details section of the V5 registration certificate. If you multiply that number (mine is 103kW) by 1.341 you convert to bhp.

Beat me to it … kW off the V5 times by 1.36
So my 103 kW is a 140 BHP (103x1.36)
There are no badges anymore so you need to do the maths 😊

Does this help?

We bought our Current MH from a dealer in Newark (not Brownhills). It was sold to us as 2.3 130bhp but I have since found it is the 2.3 150bhp, so bonus 👍

I saw that figure. Only serves to complicate the matter further.

It's 1.341 to convert to good old British horsepower, and 1.36 to convert to 'metric horsepower', known as PS (= Pfundestarke = Horsepower in German). Hardly any difference really, but that's the reason there's two conversion factors given.

So 103kW is 140PS = 138BHP.

So mine says 110kw so that must be 147.51 bhp. That figures(y)
