Fiat Ducato service interval and warranty.

Just got a quote for £899  from Fiat (Johnsons) Swindon!!! Told them to forget it.....
Bought the base van there - very good price
But for service, look at Cheslteton motorhomes in Wellington, Fiat Pro and only do vans. Only one service there but it was "perfect" and exactly as quoted. I hate and distrust garages but they did what they said, did what I asked. And will be going back....

Does anybody insist on buying the correct gen oil, as in Petronas/Mopar Selenia FR Forward 0w-30 to top up and or oil change??? As I think lubricant is a very Important component to an engine's life expectancy . . . I have seen so many failures over the year's due to incorrect oil being used being in the motor trade for 40 year's, and I'm sure this is even more so now with the euro 6, so just a reminder to alway's ask what oil any workshop are uding, especially if the quote to change is cheap. These euro 6 engine's take just over 6 litres, so expect a £100+ just on oil, then filter and an hour's labour will be min £150 Cash by an Inde and £200+Vat at Fiat.
But I'm sure you guy's will have other thought's on using cheaper 0w-30 alternatives 🤷‍♂🙈

The way I look at most of these things is that it’s all down to what helps you sleep at night.
If the oil you use in a reliable brand , is the correct specifications for your vehicle then that’s the base point.

I agree Phil if it's the right specification, but a lot of 0w-30 viscosity oils are not the ds1 for euro 6, but as long as you don't have to prove what oil has been added if a serious fault occurs under warranty conditions that is fine !
How old is your Adria Phil, and does it have the oil guage on digi dash or a dip stick???
Also has it ever used any oil between services???

Parrot Face you might want to check on this as well. If less than 10,000 miles per year, then an oil and filter change is required.
Dont recall it saying that in my manual. Think there is something about urban driving with lots of stop start will require oil change. Ill need to check again.
Dealer also said two years 30000 miles fir next service.

Wow that's a lot of miles considering how hard these engine's have to work Howard, albeit a lot will be motorway mileage !
Still a modern car is only 2 year's or 20k on long life oil such as Quantum by VW/Audi.
It's also difficult when there's no dip stick like mine to check/test the oil.
Can anybody with the new black digital dash show me where there oil guage sits please, as this is mine after 1,634 miles and a ltr of oil top up 🙈
