Fiat ducato headlight upgrade

On a 2022 ducato need to upgrade headlights, drls are an easy led upgrade but has anyone fitted Hids instead of standard H7 + 400% upgrades without an canbus errors. Not worried about mot compliance at this stage.
Funny enough our rears are Led and fronts are candles.
May look into Led units but can only find ebay specials, will call local dealer but will also need coding which will make it £ss
The LED's shown by previous funster work very well ...When you take your vehicle in for it's MOT Lower the headlight height adjuster to the number 2 position.. You will not have any issues.. Amazing difference driving at night compared to the standard fitment..

Happy travels....

Are they any good? I have a pack of 160w rally bulbs i am thinking of fitting, although maybe they will have to go into some ancillary units...
They are a big improvement but all upgrades are only as good as the existing lens. Have fitted + 200% night breakers before and don't get me wrong they are brighter but most of it is you wanting them to be !!.
Factory fit Leds are the way to go if you can get hold of some.

And this is the reason I no longer drive after dark. Too many people now think their convenience is more important than the safety of others.

This bit is not aimed at you, but just a general comment.

LED and other high intensity bulbs that were not designed for the vehicle dazzle other road users. It is selfish, obnoxious and dangerous to use bulb that the headlamp was not designed to be used with.
This and people not using indicators is my biggest bugbear on the road these days.

Hi can you tell me which version of the Nightbreaker Headlight Bulbs you bought .
Hi would these be a satisfactory upgrade without blinding oncoming drivers , also would you change both main & dip bulbs with the above ?

You guys with the posh ‘newer’ Ducatos have it great with the headlights! Ours is a 1991 Hymer on a Ducato base. When I put the headlights on I pop out of the door and walk around to the front to check they are working as you can’t actually see anything brighten up through the windscreen

Think yourself lucky the newer Hymers with the single H7 for dip & main are even worse.

Just bought a set of Osram NIGHT BREAKER LASER H7 headlight bulbs +200% more brightness. Do I put them in the dipped or full beam or buy another set and replace both?

Dipped as most of the time you don't use main beam.

Have never checked but do both lamps come on with main beam as on our old T6 we coded lamps to do this and drove around most of the time on main beam angled downwards.

when you put them in , it will be interesting to hear whether they are a big improvement?.

Many thanks

Hi, you didn’t add front fogs whilst you were at it, I am considering doing that myself, see the assemblies and loom are available for about £70?
any hints?
I fitted these, they were really easy to fit, not disappointing yellow or twinkly, they are just perfect. They come with van specific wiring loom and you can choose when they come on and when they dim.
