Can anyone advise, stared my Swift 630 L this morning and it started to run for a few seconds then cut out ( never done that before ) re-stared it but was running lumpy and would not pick up when pressing down the throttle. I connected my basic diagnostic scanner which came up with fault code P0127 IAT sensor too high ( intake air temperature ). The thing is I can not find it ! The only sensor I can find on the air intake is the AMS ( air mass Sensor ) my question is are both of these the same thing or am I looking in the wrong place , would be handy if anyone has had the same issue with there engine and what did they find was the solution ?

Ok, so are we talking about something like earthing straps to and from gearbox/engine to chassis
The jump lead trick is a good way of CHECKING but there is no need to touch the neg lead of battery. Just connect the ends between negative jump start point under bonnet and clean part of engine.
For permanent better earth, put a second earth lead, near the old braided one, behind the N/S/F wheel, under the air filter.
Connect the engine end to one of the cleaned gearbox bolts and the chassis end to the original cleaned bolt on the chassis.

Ahhh, are you saying that it will have to be done by Fiat’s !! ( I do hope not as there ridiculously expensive ) .
Not necissarrily by Fiat, any garage with a decent scantool. If you give more details on engine 2.2, 2.3, 3.0 multijet, 3.0 16VCNG, facelift 2.0multijet, facelift2.3multijet, facelift3.0multijet, and check it is an X250 (first digits in vin) as i said before some do some dont.
If you have an android phone or tablet the cheapest method may be to get a Fiat compatable obd tool and alfaobd. If your existing one is not stand alone eg uses an ap the initially try the alfaobd demo to see if it at least comunicates. There is a group on the fiatforum willing to help those with a need for help/multiecuscan.

If you are still looking for it , the manual in post #20 that I mentioned shows the Intake Air Temperature / Over pressure sensor as being on the intake manifold ( Shown on page 74 of that Fiat training manual )

Did mine with an Autel reader 👍🏻
Thanks Andy , I’m not very good with Tec stuff ( wish I was but I’m not ) so I’m hoping after fitting the new MAS it will drive ok to get me 1 mile to a garage who should have the equipment to calibrate it to the Ecu .🤞

It run fine with the new MAF and only found out I could calibrate when playing with Autel

I intially bought an Autel 319 too cheap the "i pad" versions are serious money so went the cheap way with multiecuscan.
I was lucky that a mate who works in garage had it, and he said they never use it now as too old so I could/can borrow it. Did have to buy an obd adapter as standard was too big.
