Got a engine warning light a while ago. Multiecuscan software says it's the Particulate matter sensor at fault. (Pa24 AE) I did have Fiat check it too and they said Nox sensor. Is that a different name for the same thing?

Also, there seems to be a big variation in price for replacements of for Nox sensors from £50 (ebay) to £350 (fiat) and lots in between.

Any experiences and advice on this issue?

Particulate matter sensor and NOX sensor are the same thing, sort of.
In simple terms, particulate matter sensors control and diagnose emission systems, and accurately utilise DPF regeneration strategies. This helps to estimate soot amounts in the DPF, and triggers an OBD fault signal by detecting DPF failure resulting in excess PM emissions.

It would be a reasonable assumption that Fiat would shaft you on price.

Ive read this can be down to a batch of faulty Particulate Matter (soot) sensors fitted to Ducatos around 2020/2021. It also comes up a lot on twin egr models that dont have this sensor and is either the top temperatue sensor or connection/ chaffing issues. On the 2 part Particulate Matter (soot) sensors this could also be the case.As to name there are a number of different type of sensor that are used to regulate the regeneration process. Two on Tour nice schematic you acquired, for clarity on a Ducat0 euro6 the DOC and DPF are one "box" I presume the Adblu will also be one "box".
