Ferry verses tunnel?/

I have a block of tunnel tickets left, but I am almost certain that I will never use them again. The extension I got last year will also be expiring and not extended again. I am resigned to the UK from now on, the restrictions will not be removed, anytime soon.
Next lockdown about late September/October, for another period of months??????
I have said this re sept/oct lockdown for some time. Yet Vaccination was supposed to be our way out/around this,

Last summer we used the Tunnel to come home as you did not have to self isolate if using it due to not being allowed out of the vehicle from start to finish. The ferry crossing home would have meant us self isolating to two weeks. First time we have used the tunnel for a long time

No dogs but tunnel all day long. 35 mins and one is on the road to the sun (unless you are coming this way:p)

On the train, you get....nothing.

We do tunnel everytime as the missus would be ill for 24/48 hours going via ferry.

We always have a cuppa coffee and chocolate hobnobs on the tunnel and have even been known to have sarnies and pork pie followed by a few biccies and always washed down with a nice cuppa tea 😉

When we did use the tunnel last (several years ago and we weren't living in Scotland then) we had a lunch time train and were all set up so that once we were parked the picnic was distributed, eaten and cleared away as the doors of the capsule were opened and we could drive off and away.

I do have to admit to finding the tunnel claustrophobic.

If I was ever to go to Blighty again I would go by Tunnel

Indeed, if the ferry was €10 and the Tunnel was €1000, I would go by the Tunnel.

That "wobbly blue stuff that fishes live in" causes me very, very, very severe grief...

JJ

Ferry they don't allow LPG converted vehicles on the tunnel.
