I wonder how much it will be , but you could treat it as a mini 3 day cruise (y)

I'm not sure many people would fancy making that crossing at the time of year we go to Morocco - around Lands End and then down the Bay of Biscay and then around Portugal - I'm thinking windy - very windy!

Brilliant idea,France and Spain won't like it one bit but it would certainly encourage tourism and trade between Morocco and the UK.
Just think 6 months in Morocco and then 90 days to get back to the UK overland through Spain Portugal and france (y)

Never forget there are no commercial operations now, P&O are funded by printed currency, as are the others.
Words are worth nothing deeds speak for themselves

For the truck drivers this should be great. If it cuts down the trip from 6 days down to 3. That is a lot of diesel and drivers hours/pay cut from the trip. Then remove the French/border hassles and it is probably worth the extra it will cost in the crossing itself.

If it happens could be another trade route, see no reason why it couldn't carry vehicles other than freight.
As to not fancying the crossing I have done it in a 42 foot boat and lived so wouldn't worry too much!
That is if you believe anything the gutter press report.

Like you say, its 1000 litres of diesel in a tractor unit from Calais to Cadiz roughly.
Easy to see how this route will be attractive if it happens

I could see a lot of unaccompanied trailers being used to save on labour costs.

This would be great.
also you would be further out to sea rather than in the bay so might not be so rough.

I think it will be mostly unaccompanied trailers, more of the EU stuff seems to be coming in the same way now

Maybe the same ship could do a circular trip around the Med, stopping at Cyprus on the way and then back to the UK via Tangiers.

Agree.
Companies wont want to be paying drivers to sit there for 3 days and i doubt the drivers would even like it, rather be on the road. (y)
I bet that they would make them take it as unpaid or rest or something. I know a Moroccan driver would not be on a massive wage but they still would not want to pay it.

Is this a passenger service or goods link...🤔

Just guessing, but I would have thought a much greater chance of a freight ship being available for charter than a passenger Ro-to suitable for a 72hour crossing.
