Ferries I hate them why!

We have either had this quiz recently or a lot of the questions have been in other recent quizzes as some of the more random ones, I remember from previously, hence a full house.

You scored: 10 / 10

A perfect score! Nice job!

Our dog a Springer Spaniel (working) has separation anxiety. When we’re at work he’s good as gold but when outside of his comfort area home he suffers.

This is the main reason we’re looking for a pet cabin if ferry was an option both ways but it looks like now it’s going to be the tunnel and a French Villa.

I do have a caravan (Buccaneer Cruiser) did have a MoHo….. anyway not willing to tow to France and deffo not to Spain for two weeks.
The dog is our main concern and leaving him at home in kennels is out of the equation.

So those pet owners I’m fully aware of how animals behave at home, in a van, car etc and we are all a sucker for big floppy ears, big eyes and a wagging tail.

We are fortunate to have our daughter round the corner for times we need to go away without her. We would have left her this trip, just crossed tunnel today, but with half term coming up,it stops the young family going to non doggy places for day trips.
On a wet dark night at Gravellines though, it is a challenge in a PVC with wet clothes and shoes and wet dog!
At the moment it is not living up to it’s high billing by chaser. Very gravelly and puddly and of course, having just come through the tunnel, there was no decent place to get on the ground under the van to tun on the gas. Another long time in the now pouring rain, was spent at the pay machine which would not accept any card either by inserting or tapping. Kept going round and round and eventually disturbed someones evening meal, oh it’s not working, coins only! A fruitless search for 4 euros later, we have given up. Maybe it will all look better in the morning

Then there are tolls and a lot of fuel plus hotels
Was going to book a villa, just trying to shorted the trip to Spain but it looks like I’ll be taking the caravan to France instead and visiting a few sites over two weeks.

This is always a good choice

Why, because I only have a specific date range to go and no issue with going to Spain with our pet but not one single return available, yes all ok without a pet but not with.

So do they expect us to take our dog with us but leave the poor sole on the dock and wave him good bye, no chance in hell.

Not best pleased at all.

And I don’t fancy a long drive in a car to South if Spain just for a two week holiday in a villa.
I have a similar problem getting a disabled cabin. You have to book ages before you want to go.
