Thick slices of hot roast pork with crackling in a fresh German brotchen. Accompanied of course with a glass or two of Dusseldorfer Alt.

For the ex-military members, my Troop Sergeant swore that his favourite sandwich was fresh (RAOC baked) white sliced bread filled with slices of, "Soldiers Wedding Cake" or to give it the proper title, "Pudding, Mixed Fruit Sweet" topped with a slice or two of "Cheese, Processed." The lads called it 'gopping' and who was I to argue?
