Anyone used 40 shots? read a few reviews and they all seem positive, using bio washing liquid ATM, the boss thinks its not working as her nose is far better than mine as I have frequented building site porta loos for years and my sense of smell is not what is was...:giggle::giggle:

Try 10 litres of cheap Coca-Cola from Lidl or Aldi and drive around with that sloshing around in the tank and that should improve it.
Thanks for that.

Problem is that our tank has a sump of prob. more than 10litres.

We've put more than that volume in of vinegar and other 'stuff'
Yes it's removing some but I was looking at filling the grey waste with, say 60-75% of a strond solution of??? and leaving it to fester with a drive around.
This has gone on for too long. I don't want to drink out of it but it needs addressing.

On a connected theme, Mrs Emmit is, er' anal (not literally!) about what goes down the plughole into the grey tank.

Two and a half years of our ownership and we're still getting lumps of 'stuff' out of the waste tap.
God knows what the previous owners put down there but it defies the laws of physics. Some of the pieces are large.
Now I know that some of our previous attempts to clear out the detrius of the tank must be working but can I ask.
Has any Funster found a product that gets rid of the crap, (sorry) in the tank.
In no particular order, we've so far tried bleach tabs. and vinegar.
Any other suggestions?

This stuff seems to work well for most things , I even managed to get rid of diesel from a water tank that I don’t want to talk about 😂
I literally put the 5 litres in and topped up with hot water.
200 mile drive later and a few rinses the tank was like new.

I use Formil from Lidl.

Readily available everywhere, so no need to carry a large container.

Smells good before and while at work.

Seems to work well in the cassette and flushed into the grey water tank.

Useful extra, if you need to do some 'emergency' clothes washing, it handles that as well.
I read a post this week from a CL owner and specifically asked not to use washing pods in loo as it damages their waste system. Green fluid only which I use anyway .

Thank you for the information.

I only empty mine at the storage site.

Not hear of that. We're about to try Solbio - very much looking forward to the smell of eucalyptus after so many sweet/sicky smells in other products. Note: Eucalyptus can cause bad reactions for some people - so those who don't like the smell, need to stay away. Each to his/her own choice.

Using 40 shots at the moment, I’m quite impressed, no strong chemical smell, no strong poo smell and it breaks down solids very efficiently. I can’t believe that I’m replying to a toilet thread! Must be bored 😂

Don't use any chemicals in the cassette, fitted a SOG system, expensive for what you get in the box but it really does work at getting rid of poo & chemical smells.

This has just poped into my mind scarey but why not tip in some bio liquid drive around so its sloshes and then rinse a few times that may breakdown anything that is leftover.
The of course once you have rinsed though to get rid of the liquid you could always do a quick Milton to get rid of any remaining bio liquid
This has not been trued or tested by me Nd there are probally loads of reasons why not too

We have both 40 shot Eco Green and Solbio and have been alternating between the two for last 2 weeks (because I dont like smell of either  ) we are travelling around Netherlands, average daily temp has been 30+ degrees and have found both to be OK.
Strangely they seem to work better in the higher temp than they do in uk.
