Hi, yes I've got Bessacarr E635 and that's what we do. Makes a very big bed and helps with thick mattress or thick quilt on top of cushions. The picture looks like the Bessaccar we had previously. The thing you might be missing is between the facing seats against the wall there is a narrow shelf maybe 2 to 3inches wide. If you grab the top of that you will probably find it moves, It lifts and slides out and has taped battens below that fill the gap every 3 inches or so between the two seat bases. A bit like a tambour door but with gaps between the bits of the slats. Note, use both hands or the battens will drop of the side runners and it's then a fiddled to get them back as one will fall off while you are trying to put the another in the correct place. There was also bridging board in the wardrobe (opposite the table in ours) about 2ft x 1ft, It had two extra pieces of board mounted on one side. That sat on the extended poles between the two seats. The extra bits stopped it sliding out of place. The backs of the facing seats then filled the gap between the seat cushions, and the long back from the side seat dropped in on top of the poles and the bridging board.
If the board is missing it would be easy to make one up out of 10mm ply or thereabouts. Cut it to bridge the gap with an inch or so extra length, but the width of the long side cushion. Then fix two more sections so it sits between the two extended poles and doesn't move fore and aft.
We always put a think mattress cover over the top to even out the bumps left by the various cushions.
Sorry, not had the van for a while and have no photo's. Hopefully this helps.
Are you able to take a picture of the bridging board and the pull out battons so the OP can see what he is looking for please?Hi, yes I've got Bessacarr E635 and that's what we do. Makes a very big bed and helps with thick mattress or thick quilt on top of cushions.
