Extended Warranty

As the warranty on our Fiat Ducato Motorhome ends this year, any thoughts on trying to extend or to buy a new warranty. Has anyone done this. Good or bad idea any information appreciated. Thanks

Europe sourced Fiats get a 2 year Fiat Warranty. Fiats sourced through the UK dealer network get an extra 3rd year backed by the dealers. The Camper extended warranty from Fiat/Mopar can be bought for an additional 1,2 or 3 years to extend the original 2 years with all the linked services.

Are you sure? Their website says the Maximum Care Camper Extended Warranty provides all the linked services you get with the original 2 year warranty. Perhaps the 3rd year offered by UK dealers on vehicles sourced from them is different but the full Camper Assist one appears to cover Europe.

I can see some wording about countries under the heading Conditions of Subscription but this relates to buying the warranty, where the UK rules mean you have to do it within 15 days. Can you say exactly where the wording you quote is found. I did notice that under the Advantages heading it says “guarantees fault repairs in your registration country and abroad anytime (excluding faults related to normal wear) and Camper assistance.”

I would happily buy into this……but it sounds too good to be true. Is it really only £15 a year? Is this for breakdown cover (I.e. roadside assistance/recovery) and/or replacement of vehicle components which fail, including labour costs?

Sorry I have doubled checked and it was £15.99 for roadside assistance 12 months pan European cover and mirrors the breakdown cover when the vehicle was new, it has to be serviced by a Fiat Dealership.

Yes I read that and I can’t see anything that says the cover is limited to the UK. Neither can I see all the words you quoted. I can see “guarantees fault repairs in your registration country and abroad anytime (excluding faults related to normal wear) and Camper assistance.” So can you please tell me what I am missing.

It seems clear to me. The link I quoted takes you to this page…….. and I have highlighted in Red the two sentences which I previously mentioned. Hope this helps. It does seem rather confusing. Perhaps you may wish to telephone or email Fiat Professional/MOPAR directly to get confirmation. It would be good to know if the extended cover does in fact mirror the initial 2 years for UK registered vehicles whilst elsewhere in Europe.

I think your highlighted passage is in regard to purchase of the extended warranty.
As it also states

I had a breakdown last year in france and had no problems having a new alternator fitted under the extended warranty.
