Would you say I could just cut this off?
Would it still pass an mot?
Or will I need a replacement part
Looking at it don't think box will last long as part of it already looks corroded
It's 2008/2009 Fiat ducato 2.3
Will a replacement be easy to source?
Seen some horror stores in getting exhausts

Getting Better
As it happens I have this exact problem too, I spoke to my garage people and the mot chap said just peel it of, they have two or more skins and is not an mot failure unless it’s blowing…

Since 2008 after caravanning for 20 years
Mine lasted a year after it started to peel, then it failed quite catastrophically on the road. Perhaps it's time to fit a new exhaust?

That is the outer skin of the silencer. Just remove it and it will pass MOT as long as it’s not blowing.

It looks from your photo to be a standard exhaust for a Fiat Ducato van. There are two types and the difference being how and where the pipe leaves the silencer. Often this pipe is then cut with a different end to alter it for motorhome use.
