Not really newbies, but we haven't been on here for a while. Our Mobilvetta has gone to a family with a couple of young boys and we're hoping they will have as much fun as we have over the last eight years. Scotland, Wales, France, Spain, Andorra, Gibraltar and Monaco have all had their boxes ticked.
Liz didn't like passengering in the U K in a left hand drive Mobilvetta, especially on the narrow roads on which we all like to get lost, and driving it was out of the question. So we had to make the change, and we have bought an Elddis Autostratus 2000 model. Looked at a few others but they mostly showed signs of being (very) unloved. The Elddis, however, was in 9/10 condition, 50 K on the clock and the right price (with a bit knocked off for some required electrical work)
We're looking for some advice for suitable sites to visit during our planned Christmas / New Year trip. Liz suggested Scotland until I pointed out that it would be dark by 3-30pm. (She's half Scottish, I kid you not) so we will head Southiish. Can anyone recommend a published list of sites that are available during this time? We're going to be looking at sites in flattish areas as we can't do hills anymore, especially when returning from the pub, and with EHU availability. Neither of us can remember when we first joined this group, so you will all be pleased to know that we have tonight coughed up our subs for fully paid up membership!
