Eurotunnel discount

I'd always book direct for the reason others have given ie you're somewhat stuffed out of Club office hours if changes are required. Also believe they may charge amendment fees.

Whereas, you can change your booking online on the Eurotunnel website without any admin charges. No brainer for me. (y)

We have amended bookings made with Tesco vouchers a number of times. We contacted Eurotunnel direct and had no problems doing it. The was no amendment fee. Our impression is once you have bought the ticket with the vouchers, it is just like any other direct one.

I couldn’t alter tesco voucher booking online a few years back which was inconvenient on a Sunday morning!
might be different now

Indeed, agree totally reference Tesco Club Card bookings. Although many years since I used the Tesco offer.

I was referring to reservations made via the Camping & Caravanning Club and the Caravan & Motorhome Club, who I believe both offer a circa 10% discount on the fares. If I recall correctly, that is what the OP was inquiring about.

I found it very easy to change our club card booking by phone of course on the day we were traveling to the tunnel on a Sunday and they were very helpful as we had to return home due to my mum being taken seriously I’ll👍😊

I think much the same for us. We are in France at the moment, having used an old 2019 F/T ticket. I think we had to add £11 for the van to the standard circa £45 we paid per single crossing.

We've got two singles left - one to get home next week, and another to use before 31/12/22 - the final cut-off date. 😊

After that we'll still use the tunnel in preference to ferry from Dover.

However, we may occasionally consider western channel crossings, which are often more convenient for us living just outside Bristol.
I have used all my FT crossings, if you are not going to use the one crossing you have left, before expiry, and don’t already have a partner
I could make use of it.
Please get in touch, if you want to partner /sell it

Thanks

The only thing with Tesco Clubcard vouchers is you can’t book a one way ticket from Calais. You can book a return but the booking has to start in from Dover.

So for example we are getting the ferry to St. Malo at the end of August and can’t use our Tesco vouchers for the tunnel back. Probably going to try the Dieppe to Newhaven ferry.

That's a bummer we are going to Caravan Salon and I have a few Tesco vouchers so I was going to book the tunnel out and come back via Dieppe.

You can do that as long as the one way booking originates from Folkestone.

That will be fine, because it starts at Folkestone.

Hi - thanks for the offer! We think there's a high chance we'll use it, but not quite confirmed yet.

However, curious how it would be possible to transfer the ticket? We are already a secondary account holder - our neighbour has the main account. They use 6 crossings and we normally use 4 each year.

Eurotunnel seem very strict concerning identities and entitlement to use the tickets. In fact, without fail, we always have problems on arrival at the terminal in Folkestone getting through the first automated security check. Usually end up having to speak to control, to verify our identity and entitlement. Not a major issue, just a minor frustration. ;)

If your the account holder, and haven’t shared with anyone, you can add a partner at any time.
We have shared with several Funsters, never had a problem going through check in, machine sometimes ask for credit card , that is linked to the account, to be inserted in the machine.

Ah, got you. Yes, I was aware the account could be shared with a designated secondary holder at any time. But since we are already in that position, a transfer isn't going to be possible, unfortunately (apart from handing it back to the main a/c holder).

Our check-in problems always begin with non-recognition of our credit card! Even though it's been used to make the payment for upgrading the crossing to 'campervan' ???

I guess for the extra checks they have to do and £22 is not exorbitant but the ACH is but that's wot the people voted for apparently!
That's each way when outbound nothing is checked +dfds still only charge 15£?
& eurotunnel when asked still say "nothing to do with us defra set the fee?",Really?
