I'm a newbie
might be useful for use when abroad to get a esim without having to go to a shop just buy using phone or laptop

I bought an e sim for use in the USA this year. I primed it first in England but when we got to America I couldn’t get it to work at all. The company refunded me no problem but I was hoping it would work out.

That does look interesting....

Not sure if that's a one off purchase price or a subscription deal though (or something in between)

I like the concept but not sure how legit this company is.

The app APK file is only available for Android outside the security of the Play Store as a download. You then need to know how to change security settings on your phone to install it as it's a third party source.

No way would I do any of that! The business is based in Hong Kong so goodness only knows what will be downloaded onto your phone.

Their concept of it being supported on iOS devices seems 'interesting' too:

So you can use it on an iOS device if you've first set it up on Android. :roflmto:

Alternatively you can set it up on a PC (which I'm guessing means Windows) - so it doesn't look all that useful for Apple users as it stands....

Oh!

Just asked a question on the Explore Van UK YouTube video (nothing controversial) and it's been deleted almost instantly!

I wonder which nerve I accidentally touched...

Eh?

The video that Langtoftlad posted in post #4 of this thread.

I asked a question and it was on there for maybe two minutes and then got deleted.

It was just asking about which devices they'd tried it in which I didn't think was particularly contentious.

Something about this that doesn't quite feel right to me. I'll stick with my old methods for now and will upgrade my router to something esim compatible when I'm feeling rich again.
