Epitaph for Casper 10/08/2010 - 16/10/2021

Rest in Peace Casper.

Such a beautiful dog.

Sorry for your loss.

Thank you so much for your lovely response, it helps so much to share the grief. We have shared our lives with many German Shepherds over the past 48 years, usually two at a time. I've always coped quite well when they have left us. accepting that they have had a good life and reached their ' sell by date'. I think that yesterday hit me at lot more as we had decided that when Casper died he would be our last dog.
Im sure that as time goes by we will realise that an older rescue dog would love Caspers toys and will be happy in his garden. I found a garden ornament last night. It's a large ' contented frog ' that we had placed on Paddy's grave in our garden in France. We brought it home when we sold the house. Paddy was Caspers uncle, so the frog can go down the garden to keep Casper company.
Once again thank you so much, he was our family..

We understand how you feel.

We lost our GSD/Border Collie Cross in February 2020 and still miss her, especially the early morning and late evening walks.

So sorry, it's the worst thing about having a dog, hopefully the pain will grow less in time

We lost Scruff 10 days ago it's rough.

A beautiful looking dog.
Remember all the fun you both had.
Lost our JRT just over 2 years ago and despite a gorgeous new pup I can still cry for my beloved Gina.
