English bloody heritage.

70 year old Brit and never seen Stonehenge, even from the road, come to think of it never been on that road. I am more than happy looking at my rockery in the garden.

Q. what wonderful site around Britain is next to "commercialise"????.

What makes Stonehenge so special, it’s only a pile of old stones ?
Phil
Not a lot and even less now you can't get anywhere near them. Went there as a child and was able to touch them and climb on them.

Ditto, plenty rocks up the road from us in there natural surroundings around dove dale for free.

It is the booking online that I cannot do, it needs doing at home, and the website is not explained well how to navigate, logon, password, booking time, and then nothing to prove what you have. they expect EVERYONE to be a bloody wizz kid on a mobile phone, I am very hard-pressed
to read anything on mine. the proof needs to be to show your reference on the phone so if I do it on my iPad then it isn't on the phone. It seems a difficult thing for the older non-12-year-olds to actually understand. The person I spoke might as well said stupid old idiot for not knowing what she was talking about. It does seem to be a common trait in the younger generation now as they do everything on their phones and cannot reckon the fact it is alien to others that use pens and paper.
Do it online is the only way nowadays, but some people do not have a tame brat with them, to show how to.
It’s a bit like doctors, they seem to think that everyone is sitting at home waiting for the promised call back , have they no idea that some people have to go to work ?
