Empty fridge syndrome

Tinned tomatoes and tuna are readily available in France!
Yeah I know, but the Tuna I take is the expensive drained stuff ? and tinned tomatoes aren't always available in Spanish Lidls ?

Some people think its Offal, personally I love it, Black Pudding also...yummeee.(y)
Its the look of Tripe that puts me off, but I must admit, I would love to try it, cooked by someone that knows what they are doing. Never see it here down sarf.

as a kid my dad used to cook it in milk with onions i wouldnt touch it ive often thought the same as you id like to try it cooked properly

We often seem to arrive on Sundays. Our fridge is always full, not because we don't love shopping & eating locally, but because campsite shops rarely have much worth buying (except wine, obvs), and the nearest supermarket is probably miles away and closed.

We have two boys with ASD and very restricted food choices. Our list of absolute essentials includes bacon, Bisto finest gravy, Tommy K, PG Tips extra strong, fresh milk, frozen yorkshires, baked beans and froze sausages.

But I'm happiest picking up the Pane di Matera bread in the morning and having it with Parmareggio butter, Gorgonzola and Prosciutto San Danielle for breakfast. Yum.

Like home, buy what you need when you need it. Otherwise you are committed to eating it all , rather than having tne freedom to eat out when you want.

Mostly buy as we go but always take Marmite, and my home made marmalade (Spanish Seville oranges).
If away at Christmas must have a Melton Mowbray pork pie, Christmas day breakfast plus English mustard.
Otherwise it's all an adventure wherever we are and whatever we eat.

nothing like haggis, unless its a haggis with added poo
If you need a haggis subsitute, the closest I've found is Carrefour own-brand "boudin noir à l'ancienne". Note - other boudins noirs are available ?

It may surprise you (but it ought not to) that chicken tikka Masala is a British Dish and not an Indian dish. I cant ever imagine Indians eating that slop.
I've had it in India but nothing like what you get in the UK, very dark brown sauce and hot & spicy.

Don't normally keep it in the Fridge unless you like a cold bum. If going to Spain or Portugal well worth taking a stock of bog roll their stuff is crap, fingers go straight through it into the :swear2:

Such is the popularity of bacon in the USA that on holiday in Florida last November we found a chocolate shop in Daytona that makes and sells chocolate covered streaky bacon! Some seven tonnes are sold annually. I tried some but was a bit odd...(n)

And as much as I despise CTM, my hatred for Korma is even greater; unless it’s a Marchwangen Korma, mmm! It’s ?

Previously Available at The Haweli, Belmont, Sutton, Surrey but, alas, it seems no more!

We have been influenced so much over the years in adopting so many food styles from Europe & world wide, i.e Chicken Tikka Marsala has now overtaken Roast Beef & Yorkshire Puds, as our favourite (we are often told), and lovely they are too. (y)
Apparently Chicken Tikka Masala originates from Glasgow!
