Emisions zones Germany

Check for 'Green Zones' on line, there's a very good app showing exactly where the zones are.

That would work for Germany and for knowing which French areas require a Critair sticker, but not tell you when the bans are in force and for which categories of vehicle on certain days when the pollution is high, as the bans are only announced the day before.

Just seems as though these countries are trying to discourage motorhomes from visiting there
countries with all this red tape etc.

When I use it I input my vehicle details, it tells me whether or not I can drive in a chosen zone and has a date function.

And if Jonny Foreigner did not pay his dues to enter the LEZ or say cross the Dartford Crossing we would all be up in arms but it seems its OK for us not to comply with their laws?

As others said €6 is not a lot and saves worrying....
I have Dutch friends who regularly visit London and use the QE2 crossing but never pay because as they said the British never send fines. I do however have the LEZ stickers for Germany and France.

What just like the London LEZ and ULEZ then.

I sent for mine last June and got it back within days with my reg number printed in the box, it has now faded and barely legible, do I have to buy another??

Whilst we do now have our green umwelt plakette for legitimate city passage travel through Germany, in conversation with a German resident his view was that the only way the windscreen sticker is and can be checked, is by the "meter maids" walking the city streets. You would have to be parked up in order for them to be able to check it. At the time, we took the view that we were unlikely to be wanting to park our moho in a German city street and therefore chose not to obtain one. As others have rightly pointed out, for €7.00 it is not worth the hassle of not having one and getting tabbed by a voracious ticket issuer. I think I paid just under £10.00 all in and it arrived within a fortnight with minimal fuss and kerfuffle. I just need to make sure I display it in the windscreen correctly now :roflmto:

We used the Green Zone app it shows you exactly what areas and roads are in the green zones. We had June July and August this year touring Germany and found it was quite easy to stay out of them and still visit the towns and cities including Berlin city centre.
Having said that if I'd known you could buy the sticker for 7 euro I'd have just done that!
