Can anyone recommend a good label maker, it’s about time I marked up my cables and got them a bit more organised.

I have had a Scotch Labeler EA-350 for some years, never had a problem with it!

Weirdly, I was thinking exactly the same thing this morning. The proper electricians ones are quite expensive but this one caught my eye, looks ok for occasional use? Uses the same tape as the professional Brother ones. I've put it in my basket but not ordered it yet.

The real cost of these label makers is in the consumables i.e. the tapes.

I have an older Brother PT100 which has served well for various bits and pieces.

I've got a brother pt1000, it's the hand held type that takes 6AA batteries that I bought from Lidl's of all places years ago for £10.
Its been absolutely superb for labelled everything up, but earlier this year I discovered that brother also do printable heat shrink labels which are a game changer for labelling up cables, so I picked up a bigger, used brother pt2030 printer for around £20 (ebay) which accepts both normal printer cartridges, and the heat shrink ones.

Cheaper cartridges can also be found on the likes of amazon/ebay, but I bought my last ones from aliexpress, got 3 heatshrink carts for less than £10 delivered.

Saw one in Aldi or Lidl last week also different colours of labels can't remember the price but it will be cheap!!
