Adria sunliving lido
Hi all, I made some adjustments to our Adria sunliving which involved moving the Electrobloc 208S - not disconecting, mind, just moving while I dismantled a bulkhead. I had to disconnect the poitive terminal from the battery to route a cable and - massive mistake(?) - I did not switch off the battery switch.
The job went well, plenty more space, but as we prepared to leave on our long awaited holiday this morning, no DC power anywhere. Closer inspection showed two loose cables on the EBL208 and I've tried everywhere for advice on which of the 6-8 empty sockets but Adria just want to sell me a new van and the Schaudt manual does not get to this level. All the fuses are intact. Auto electric guys in the neighbourhood don't touch campers and the only dealership is on holiday - yes in August!
So no DC anywhere and two loose wires on the first day of holiday....HELP!

Solution2
Thanks again, Autorouter. From Puddleduck's response, showing photos of his Adria wiring of the EBL 208, it might be that the white wire is 21 (0V so at least at the expected voltage) which could get us going. If the water pump then does not work, the orange wire would likely be 23. If the connector numbers I sent are right, I'll try that. Fingers crossed! Thanks a million!
All went as planned! White wire in 21 got us but without water and the orange in 23 restored us to full health! Thanks so much for your help. Just joined this f forum today with my back to the wall but I think I'm a life member.

So glad we were able to help. The membership fee for the site was probably less than a call out charge from a repair person :) AND I got a warm feeling from being to help someone with a technical question. My technical knowledge relates to whatsits, thingies and oujars. See I know all the technical terms :)

If you are going to Mayo can I assume you are in Ireland? Martin's Great-Grandad was Irish (Cookstown in Tyrone) and my own family has Irish connections but only through marriage. I remember going to relatives (probably a Great-Aunt's husband's family) at least one summer, they had adjoining farms, one in NI and one in Eire and used to smuggle produce through a fence depending on which market was getting the higher price!!! We were in Ireland (I think) 3 years ago and I would dearly like to go back - so many lovely places but I have a real soft spot for Achill Island.

Also I went out and checked out our solar controller last night and it appears to be working correctly :) A neighbour came round to ask me something and I was in the van about to check it so he gave me a hand with all the cushions etc. He was very impressed with the van :) We had a look to see if it would be possible to put in a second leisure battery and if we did some modifications it probably would but we've managed without a permanent second battery for 20 years so when the time comes we'll just replace what we have with the same or better (if available then).

Noticed that the best advice if unsure is photograph as you go along and label cables so you know where they go, especially if you have say 2 red ones both looking alike. Yesterday I replaced the front door seal on a friends washing machine having watched several online videos of how to do it. At the conclusion of the test run to ensure no leaks I admitted it was my first attempt! I am not taking enquiries to repeat the exercise.

Can't you just stick them in and see what happens?
Thank god that a lot of my customers use your approach, it's kept me in business for the last 35 years

You're welcome (y) ;)
The Bob Newhart monologue 'Defusing a Bomb' [A foot Police Patrolman on Bach Patrol] springs to mind] ... '

'You're kinda late ringing in Bernie, ain't ya? You found a Shell on the beach? And you think that's unusual? Finding a Shell on the beach ... It's not that kinda Shell? Well, what kind is it, then? It's making a ticking noise? Wait a minute, lemme get the Manual ...'

It says here, oh damn, somebody spilled coffee over the page, it says, connect the blue wire with the red stripe to the red wire with the blue stripe. Do NOT connect the two wires with the red and blue stripes. Yeah, kinda confusing isn't it? Oh boy, that's a doozie, you know how big that Bomb is? A city block, that's how big! Whadd'ya mean, you'll call me back from the phone booth 2 Blocks away on 37th?

Be calm. Now turn the screw A, or is that E? More coffee spilled ..., can't read whether it says clockwise or anti clockwise. Try clockwise. Yeah, I can hearing the ticking getting faster, try anticlockwise, and it says to use an anti magnetic heat shielded double insulated screwdriver. You don't have one with you? Well, use a nickel ...'

Well done to all who replied on here. Nice to know that if one gets stuck, many hands will, indeed, make the light work again!
4 hours to sort via the internet. Very Impressive!
