Been having problems with the electric actuators on my B534DL. They seem to struggle both dropping and lifting the bed. Managed to get a quote from the German manufacturers Baumeister, £965 for the pair.
So today I took the mattress and side curtains off the bed, to see whats going on, then removed the actuators, tried them and they worked perfectly well, so only conclusion is they may be under powered for the weight of the bed ??
Why would Hymer make this bed with actuators when it's so easy to manhandle ? lord knows what the cost option is from Hymer, but whatever is it it's certainly not worth it.
Whilst they were off I could lift and drop the bed one handed, very easily, so maybe the answer is to leave the actuators off. Just have one question though, the bed doesn't have a support strap (like a seat belt) to hold it up, so wondering if I need to fit one ?
I've looked at a youtube video of same B534DL for sale and cannot see a strap on that (manual bed) one either, so may not need one ?
