Our 115 has been very reliable so far. We have used it for about 2 months of the year, winter and summer. To be realistic it is a budget van by comparison to most of the French and German ones. We feel it is well equipped for the price and bought it as an intro into van life, expecting to upgrade if we like it. In our minds, we saw it as buying a Kia rather than a Mercedes (I use these examples because we have both makes) and so long as your expectation is of a Kia/Elddis all is fine.
Yes the alternative is to buy an older German/French van. That seems a reasonable alternative, but we decided that as newcomers it was better to buy fairly new cheaper make which is still covered by a guarantee and has more modern components.
I am sure that in the next year or two we will upgrade, probably to a Hymer or most likely Carthago, but that doesn't guarantee trouble-free vanning.
