Ecoworthy 280ah lithium

I have a couple of 100ah ecoworthy and haven't had any issues. The newer ones have Bluetooth. They are reducing the prices on the non Bluetooth batteries to clear them
Ahh that makes sense. I spend enough time faffing with tech throughout the day so like simplicity at home!

I bought a non Bluetooth Eco worthy 100ah as first foray into lifep04... Working great as a drop in replacement for an AGM. My Bluetooth Victron mppt controller keeps me informed of battery state but wondering if I need a shunt. If so, then maybe best to just buy a Bluetooth version....

I ve just written up on smiffys post of the same offer as I have had this one and the fogstar (with app and bluetooth)

Long story cut short, I would choose the fogstar and paid the extra money and I am a tight git. I also monitored from Victron succesfully and if I did go for the Ecoworthy non bluetooth I wouldnt bother with the shunt (or not the one I put in !!)

Been looking at these for replacing our battery. I know they're not the premium lines such as Fogstar but if anyone else is interested they're down to £383 on Ebay which for 280ah seems fantastic??
They must have put the price back up, £480 is all I can see today

Still on ebay at £383.... make sure you are seeing eco worthy web site and not a look alike. I've just done ebay search ...eco worthy battery 280ah. This produced the £383 offer. HTH.

You just need to add the code for the price reduction

Ps I paid 205 Euros each for 2 x 100ah in March delivered to Spain which I thought was really good value. The 280 ah battery was not as cheap then but it was too big for where i was going to fit it.

That's my only consideration and why I'm wavering, it'll only fit in one of the under bench storage areas and we don't have a great deal of storage as-is so it's a big unit.

But then you do free up space that the other battery took up and not much increase in weight either.

Both our batteries are currently in the engine bay so there's no storage in use. My other plan was (but this adds a lot more expense) to get an underslung tank and re-purpose the gas locker.

Thing to remember is the usable amps from lithium are nearly double that of lead, so fir given size you get more from them.

Which was my other thought, I think the 100a lithium will fit where my current 74ah lead acid is!

My Fogstar 280ah battery system doesn't have a shunt, I use the Victron and Fogstar apps. What does a shunt do ?
