Eco tree batteries phone number

One thing I am not getting into who right or wrong with comments above.

One reason for buying Ecotree is they give an six year guarantee.

Colyboy

Warranties are great if you can access them. If you’re in Southern Spain, Morocco etc, the warranty isn’t that useful… reliability and quality is far more important, IMHO

Fair enough you don’t want to get into a debate, I understand why, but did EcoTree say that batteries get lazy? Would be good to know so that your fellow Motorhomers can avoid them if they are that clueless…

One thing I have noticed about these ecotrees on you tube, with the people who have been given them, is that they rave over them in the initial test but then you never hear of them again.

Correctly fitted lithium batteries, with a decent sized B2B, a reasonable amount of solar with a good regulator with a lithium profile don’t tend to create problems.

I simply do not believe that buying a ‘drop in’ ‘change nothing’ lithium battery is worth it, and, I suspect is the cause of the alleged multiple problem posts.

I was 28 years old and was lucky enough to be able to buy a brand new motorhome, a Autohomes Highwayman

We went everywhere in that van, AshVanBitz Simon-Alan Kerr @JamesAJMotorhomes we’re 3,4 & 6 years old Nick@vanbitz didn’t even appear on the scene till 1993

Christmas in the Alps, August camping on the beach, opening the door in the morning to the Mediterranean, trips to Paris overnighting on the bank of the Seine, in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower.

And yes, all in a motorhome with one Leisure battery

14 motorhomes later, and aged 61 and retired from a life of fitting electrical equipment to tens of thousands of motorhomes, In our current camper we have 3 X 175w solar panels on the roof, 3 X 120 amp Lithium batteries, a factory fitted 5kw Onan generator, a 120amp buck boost B2B a 3200w inverter/charger charging at 120amp when mains is available

It all talks to each other via a VE Bus and all controllable manually or via our phones and tablets.

I never consider power nowadays, rarely bother to plug in, can‘t remember the last time I consulted the App to check power levels

Not everyone can afford such a set up, I understand that, not everyone needs such a set up, I understand that, so not everyone wants such a set up, probably for one of previous reasons, but I don’t understand when people try to berate such set ups

Its wonderful and completely changed the way we use the camper.

Half the weight, pretty much twice the power so taking cost away, what argument is there against them?

I‘ve said it before not everyone has to make decisions where cost is the number one deciding criteria, sorry that’s the truth, that’s why some people spend Hundreds of thousands on their campers, whereas buying a tent would fundamentally do the same job.
I wasn't berateing any setup, just stateing that when we didn't have all these gizmos there wasn't half as many problems.

Hi Eddie

Decent spec of course but I am a little puzzled by the generator, did it just come as standard or did you actually spec it?

I wonder how many people set up with these things because it seems to be what you have to have then never go anywhere away from hookup.

I'm wondering whether I actually need a generator, haven't needed to use it once yet. Probably more usefull for somebody doing more UK though

The two I had in the last van lasted 18 months both failed when we were in Greece what is there to like about them.
. Not just me loads of people have had problems with them.

But... but... but... I know people (including me) who have had no problems what so ever with AGM batteries.

There were loads of reports of them failing on the German forums & quite a few on here have had them fail.
When was the last time you did a proper capacity test on yours?

We have two 100a AGM and 2 100 w solars with some nondescript Chinese controller and honestly as I have said before, I keep trying to find things to use up the electric that we have spare, in France we are full to bursting by 11 o clock everyday, and it seems such a waste from then on.

You can most likely guess that I will say "more Lithium" ;)

As I keep asking people who claim their AGM's are doing well, have you run a capacity test to find out how they are really performing?

I often check my batteries and my Gels have excellent performance at 6 years old, AGM's tend to go way down on capacity in under a year.

All I can tell you is that we have kept adding things over the three years and they still keep showing the same as they have ever done, just can't use all the electric.

I am very sorry Mr Lenny, but I have NEVER done any sort of capacity test on any of my batteries.

What I have done is live full time (mostly off-grid) in a motorhome for nearly forty years.

My van is my home not my hobby.

I just about get by without acquiring all the latest gizmos on the dealers' shelves.

But fair play to all motorhome hobbyists who enjoy pottering around in their vans and who can afford the latest "must have" items which add to their enjoyment.

And now with more and more Aires coming with ehu included, there just doesn't seem any point in anymore capacity.

I've not really noticed that but it does depend on the area, our next van will have 460ah of Lithium.

This post is started not because of lithium battery technology, but because someone doesn’t have a telephone number for a supplier. He needs to speak to them as he in Spain and his battery discharges over night!
And he still hasn't advised the forum what the outcome was and whether he managed to recover the charge in his lithium batteries after the advice from Ecotree.

I would not be holding my breath on that one Jim.

Just had a quick squizz at this, very interesting… Could you give me a rough price on these please? Need trade acc to log in…
Just did a quick Google and looks like they are currently around £700.

Just a simple control panel to switch on/off and set temperature. For a shower, we set it at 35 degrees and spend as long as we like in there (until we run out of water ). To wash up, turn it to 60. Works out very economical with gas as it's only on when needed.
