Ebike on the back of MH

At moment only have a car, but use a Thule towbar mounted carrier for the e-bike. Travelling simply remove the battery, and I put the Bosh rubber plug accessory thing over the contacts. No other cover when driving so I can still see out the rear window through the bike frame. Not ideal for the bike in horrid conditions as all the road muck will swirl around the bike. I just make sure I've well lubricated the chain and stuff before setting off. I have a very lightweight cover I put over the bike once at the campsite which keeps it from prying eyes, and at that point get out every lock I have going to double up on the Thule carrier lock.

If you are driving with a load of flappy plastic over your bike, even behind a MH, surely that is a big sail that must impact fuel economy?

Sounds very sensible and organised...... where do I buy one of them? ?

Thing is - you have to remember to use the check list though. :ROFLMAO:

And yes, I'm guilty of not doing that, usually realise on the first bend after leaving somewhere and the wardrobe door swings open.

We have 2 folding ebikes. We take the batteries off, fold the handlebars down and remove the saddle/stems. We then use a Fiamma cover which does cover the bikes but leaves the back (against the wall of the MH ) exposed. We can't cover the back cause we've got a multitude of security devices fastened to the rack...it will be quicker for a thief to cut the rack of the MH off to get the bikes off....but a bit heavy to remove and they'll be left with ebikes with no batteries or saddles.

Most of Europe? That's not my (limited) understanding. I believe Spain and Italy only. Anyone know different for sure?
My apologies if I mislead anybody - we mostly travel in Italy where yes it is a legal requirement but we also feel it can only help to add a bit more awareness that you have bikes on the back.not sure about the status of other counties but hey!
