EasyJet Cancelations

I now avoid EasyJet after they cancelled flights twice on a holiday and were a nightmare to get refunds from.
With both sons in Scotland , both soon to be in Glasgow EasyJet from Bristol is our only real option. Just out of curiosity I looked at trains and the price was OK but 8-9 hours via London. Would that be any more reliable?

Whoever told you that is off the mark.

Aircraft cannot take-off without pilot input.

For landing they can only do autoland under following conditions.

1 The airline has spent the money to equip the aircraft for CAT III conditions.

2. The airport install and maintains the electronic equipment to CAT III standard on the operational runway = not many do.

3. Both pilots have been trained for CAT III approaches and landing AND have practised these approaches in the last 6 months.

These 'constellations' do not often coincide

Pass this on to whoever told you - adding 'Boll*cks' from me.
Seems to me.

The non UK crewed flights took off yesterday.

Emirates
Qatar
Pegasus
Finair
Etihad
Ryanair (Ryanair’s Alicante flights due to take off after us departed)

Captain just announced that the crew were out of hours. That’s why Easyjet cancelled their flights.

My wife’s relatives are 1st officers for easyJet. Not heard anything from them. But my Niece and her colleagues at Jet2.com has have requests to volunteer shits.

Don't know if this is true but Mr Nicholson maybe able to shed light.
I was told many years ago when new airports were opening quite frequently in this regeion was that for an airport to gain a full international operations licence (or whatever they call it) they need to have X amount of snow ploughs.
I know both main Dubai airports have 3 each.
Snow ploughs in this region.

I don’t think I’ll be seeing him again, he was a pilot on I think Emirates 😊

Point taken though 👍😊

Probably less chance of getting to your destination using a train.
