No fuss. The first click on the ratchet is still too wide, simple solution.

Same windows, mine can lock 'just' open.

Latch Lock.jpg

On the window is the catch used for locking by swivelling through 90 Degrees.

On the Window Frame is the location catch, it has two settings.

The first is when the window is closed and the locked as usual.

Hard to see in the photo but there is a slot between the two screw heads. The Locking Lug will close into this gap. This leaves the smallest gap between the Window Seal, locks the Window in place leaving it safe to drive, resists strong winds and thief proof.

I've just bought four of these. I'll let you know how they fare in practice when we're next away.

Mine has the same, but if you want the window open just a touch more my method allows an intermediate between barely cracked and first click. I would never drive with the window even slightly open.

I agree, closed for driving.

I have driven on very hot days with my sliding windows on the first click.
This leaves a gap of about a centimetre.
Never had a problem. đź‘Ť

I’ve bent some metal stay, we use it to stop wind lifting open window, also on the back of our Hymer the bike rack stops the stay from reaching first position, so I took stays off and just use my bodge metal
