I'm tempted by the fireworks. I've been told there are great views across the lake. On the other hand I'm not sure how the dog would react. She may have to seek protection from the deer.

If anyone is going...please shout as us, edgy and the wandering haganaps will be there and were trying to sort out somewhere to stop the friday night as the campsite for the `do` doesnt open until 0800 on the Saturday

Ive been on to the castle ref the camping and turning up on the Friday night and saving an area...no go - 0830 on the morning of the 28th is when the gates open

so...need to find somewhere else for the friday night...any suggestions???

How about the Trumpet Inn, Ledbury. Not too far from Eastnor. We will have to book soon though.

with hook up for three of us - haggers has got more power than he really needs by all accounts (blog says so), if not the only other option is a nuclear reactor...gawd...now ive mentioned it that's going to happen int it!

We are now pitched up at the Trumpet Inn. There are only three units here at the moment, but it is fully booked for the rest of the weekend. Pitches are grass and the ground is firm if a little uneven. The pub itself looks good with a selection of Wadworths beers. The entrance to the site is via the pubs car park. what a sad day today is, but only for the very best reasons...yesterday will take some beating :thumb:

what a fantastic day, sun shinning, big outdoor brekkie, BBQ in the afternoon and 10CC, the mighty Status Quo and fireworks for the evening..and the most awsome company...it doesnt get much better

PS..Paul we're just going to have to take your word for it that you 'got' the Quo dance in the end...no evidence im afraid fella...but the vids do kind of imply the opposite: Rofl1:...
