Easter Rally in Chester

Chester facilities

There's NO EHU. There are dump facilities and fresh clean water. Clean showers are also available. (All based on last year).

Hope this helps.

So who is coming to the Chester (Welsh Appreciation) Meet?

I thought we would have had a list of VIP' (Welsh) and Others, yes you know who you are, Anglo Saxon mongrels and vagabonds..

So what about it Jim?

And

When can we camp up and glory in winning the Grand Slam .
And we were singing hymns and arias!!

We are going. Can you remember if they sent us a ticket in the psot or an email after we paid

I suggest (even though the dates are wrong this year) that the tradition started last year of bedecking the motorhomes of Welsh funsters with bunting celebrating the saint's day should continue. It would be a sacrilege for the tradition to be abandoned before it becomes established.

I have every expectation that Jim (Our glorious leader may his name be praised as I understand he should be addressed) will support this suggestion wholeheartedly.

Hi there - I have been booked in for ages but my daughter finds herself at a loose end that weekend and would like to join in and pitch her pup tent next to my van - will that be OK?

I have written to the organisers to get a ticket for her but just wanted to clear it with you guys.

Please let me know if there are any issues

email this morning from the organisers, thought it might help

Hi Stew,

I am trying to send the information over to everyone but it doesn’t appear to want to leave me outbox! It contains the following information:

‘Dear Camper,

Thank you for booking your CamperFest 2011 festival ticket.

Now before you arrive on site we want to let you know a few things about CamperFest.

The Ticket
When you arrive on site you will be directed to the Camperfest check-in desk and given your wristband that will be your ticket. It will allow you to move around the site and into the Chester Food, Drink and Lifestyle Festival.

You’re Pitch
When arriving on site you will be directed by one of our stewards to your pitch. When on site you will need to have your hazard lights on and adhere to the 5 mph speed limit for safety reasons.

Parking
We will give you a car pass for your vehicle when you are at CamperFest. Please ensure that it is on display at all times, it will let us know you are meant to be there and it will let you on and off site easier. If you don’t have a camper van and use another form of transport we will advise you when you are on site where to park.

Facilities
At CamperFest 2021 we want to give you the best experience possible, so we have shower and toilet blocks on site for you to use throughout the weekend. There is also a water point for you to use.

Getting to Chester
Click on the link below, this will take you to the Chester Racecourse website, for map and directions: Link Removed. Chester Race Course address: The Racecourse, Chester, CH1 2LY.

Moving around the Site
When moving around the site, ensure that you have your hazard lights on and adhere to the 5 mph speed limit. There must also be no vehicle movement between 11pm and 7am. If there is an emergency and you need to move between these times, please contact the festival team on 07882 654 733.

Rubbish
We have a strict waste management policy; all rubbish is to be put in bins provided. In your welcome pack a bin bag will be provided, and will be available from the CamperFest team. All rubbish must be taken to the refuse points around the site, to deter unwanted vermin from the CamperFest area. Dog bags will be provided; all fouling must be cleared up.

Campfires and BBQ’s
Campfires at CamperFest are not permitted at all. You can have BBQ’s, but they must be raised and not scorch the grass at all. Please refer to our terms and conditions, as attached for more information.

Even though I am from the same country, I would like to state at this point that

a) I'm not a big rugby fan (yes, we do exist)

b) I would rather not spend the weekend removing arrows from various parts of my anatomy

and therefore I disown the above person and have never met him before in my life...honest...

I should point out that we (the Welsh) as current Winners of the Six Nations and Grand Slam have rights to get on 1st and have all the best slots, the other mongrel nations will have to stand aside and make way...

Last year the Thursday arrival time was 5pm. If I remember rightly we got there about 5:30 and there was a bit of a queue within the racecourse boundaries, but not out onto the road, and it didn't take all that long to get pitched as the staff were efficient.
