I don't know why I am butting in, I'm not attending. I couldn't miss answering your question though.

Here's one for the Quackers family.

Hi all,

To enable us to control the arrivals at the rally and to save someone sitting at the gate could you please send an aprox time of arrival. Also when arriving please come with the minimum amount of water in tanks thank you.

Martin
Why a minimum tank of water?

Update on arriving with with full water tanks.

Anyone who joined us for the 2024 Late Easter rally will understand why the request went out to arrive with minimum water this year.
However, after the glorious recent weather the ground is quite good, and for most vans arriving with a full tank our famous slope should not cause an issue.
The only exception to this, if your tank is right at the back of your vehicle, we would still advise you to arrive with minimum water so you do not pull a wheelie going up our slope and run out of grip.

If you have not visited us before please have a look at directions on our website. Woodside Field
If you forget, just remember to only enter Hill Lane at the Cross Hands Hotel traffic lights, ignore you sat nav if it wants you to enter Hill lane at the other end.

Looking forward to seeing everybody on Thursday.
Brian & Helen

Plenty of nice walks in the area, if you ask Taran_Las I'm sure he will organise the walk to the Roman Hill fort.

You can catch a bus from The Cross Hand Hotel, a few minutes walk from the site. I will try and dig out some information on local walks etc and leave them in the tent.

So, I'm beginning to believe we can make it there on Thursday. I might bring some vodka just in case you can fit me in. Don't think you can stop me doing that! Though disappointed that I end up with less gin rather than more! Bacon rolls for 2. Pics of us young, will sort something out. They had actually invented photography by then, but only in black and white. Concorde, is that still on? Arrival time not sure, but can't imagine it much before 6.30pm. I don't know if I missed anything out. Oh, payment!! No water in tank! Good idea! Geoff and Carol.

Hi All you lucky people
I have listed as planning to arrive around 1.00 to 2.00
unfortunately it is not now going to happen
I have come out of hosp after having several stents inserted
in the ticker, and will not be driving for a little while
we were so looking forward to our first rally for a while too
and meeting up with other funsters
I am hoping that if anyone is on the reserve list , that they can
be allocated my £20 deposit,
and have a great rally everyone
Hope to meet up with you all later in the year
Regards
Clive / Mary & " meg "

Sorry to hear your news, take it easy and hope you have a speedy recovery.
Book in for the Aniversary Rally in July.

I'm going to have to withdraw from this one. Fridge not wanting to run on gas. It sometimes lights on it's igniter, will light on a gas lighter flame, but turns off after a minute or so. I've cleaned the jet which made little difference. I guess it's the thermistor and I have no idea how to change that. I've had problems with it over the last year and will change it but that won't happen before the weekend. Have fun Funsters!

Hi Clive, assuming you have gas () try giving Bristol Caravans a call. They fitted us in at really short notice and sorted out our heating. Speak to Tracy or Oakley and tell them it's an emergency as you're due to be at our rally on Thursday - worth a shot.

Fingers crossed 🤞

Hi Martin, i can't see my name on the list, I have paid honest 🙏👍 looking forward to meeting everyone 😀
I'll be there around 1.30-2pm
1 bacon roll please

Yes Helen I have gas.
Tried several places some would not even bother to listen, of the polite ones 2 said it was the PCB which is as rare as a Unicorn with hens teeth.
Some light may be at the end of the tunnel is a salvaged working fridge that I'm looking at tomorrow, fingers crossed.
