E74 Cuneo to Monaco

We are planning on travelling from Cuneo in Italy to the region around Monaco on Monday 5 May 2025. Unfortunately, the weather forecast is not great with rain and thunderstorms expected.
We've never driven this road before and don't know what to expect. Does anybody out there with any experience of it know what it is like in the way of tunnels, hairpin bends and terrifying drops or is it as easy to drive as it looks on the map. We are driving a 7.5m van.
Any help or knowledge will be gratefully received.

It was 'interesting' a few years ago in good weather. There are lots of tight bends and overhanging rocks and the tunnel half way feels really small and long but you'll fit through if under 3.9m. The whole hillside collapsed in bad weather a couple of days after we went through so I wouldn't try it if there are storms on the way

Thank you ever so much for your advice, we'll give that road a miss. Back to the coastal autostrada with all of its tunnels and flyovers! Much appreciated.
