I would nit do the cherished transfer until you return from your non-cancellable travels if you need a V5 fir those travelsWent onto the system it was all there ,but we have personal platesxthat we held on retention that will be going on .

Same here. We lost all of July tax as ours was not registered until 10th ish Aug.Just been told by DVLA my v5 is on its way I can now drive it after buying the motorhome on the 17th June.
Very good of them to tax it from the 1st of June when it was not allowed on the road.

We did lose July tax as the van was not registered until Aug 10th ish. Application was received by DVLA on 7th July. No biggy, not bovvered.Im sure you wont lose the July tax, registered 10/8 it will be taxed to 31/7
