DVLA Turnaround for Uprating?

Seems odd to me that DVLA have 500 employees off with covid yet many companies still working may only have a handful off sick.
Either an excuse on their part or a bit of lead swinging by employees.

They seem to tuning things round quite quickly at present. My C1 license and my up-plating were done in 2 or 3 weeks. How up to date is your 500 off with covid information? Earlier in the pandemic the Swansea area was hit very hard with covid cases but is now well below the UK average.
