DVLA Shocker in the Post Today

The only thing I have since noticed is they have dated the expiry date as 3 years from when they processed it and not 3 years from the expiry date of the old licence. So I have lost nearly 5 weeks.

My C1 license came back dated for 3 years from the expiry date of the old license. I got the application in early enough to avoid submitting a photograph. Perhaps this makes a difference, new photo means new license date. I had thought it was the 56+ days remaining on the old license made the difference. This would fit with your 5 weeks lost (35 days) but not with the 10 weeks (70 Days) TonyEmm lost.

Had my medical last August followed by treadmill. Licence arrived January 3rd 2022. Quick for DVLA. I'm applying to renew it in July for receipt before December, hopefully.

So they only gave you a C1 licence for a year? Or have I misread that. My licence was issued for 3 years for info,,I was 73 ( second C1 application with treadmill tests)

Applied for my c1 last October had to have a medical then an ecg am still waiting for license have written, emailed and rung numerous times don’t know what to do next

I've got my HGV Class 1 so every year. I kept it going so still borrow a truck and trailer to play.

Try the online complaints procedure. Letters, emails and phone calls all go to the same department that is sitting on your application. Complaints go through a different department and seem to get dealt with quicker.

Yes did that finally heard from them they have approved license now want new photo which I have sent back and they want me to send old license back doh!! Did that months ago so now crossing fingers but not holding breath for new updated license.
