I have just picked up my (brand) new PVC which is based on a Ducato 9 speed automatic. I had presumed it would be a Euro 6D or 6D temp but my V5 has just arrived and it states the van is a Euro 6c1. Can the V5 be wrong? How would I check if mine is 6D temp or 6D? and how do I get it changed if the section on the V5 for corrections doesn't include a part to correct that? Ive read that the DVLA are not answering punsters emails but I want to get this corrected. Any advice? thanks

I don't entirely agree - although probably not significant to most motorhome buyers, VED rates now differ between Euro 6d Temp (and earlier versions) and Euro 6d and the Finance Act 2018 makes this difference clear
I'd like to know how they differ? RFL for a 2021 6d-TEMP is no different from 6c or 6d.

We have a 2020 Ford Transit base with an engine which Ford didn't produce until 2017, the Eco blue is their 'go to' current power plant and over the last 4 years has had no further fettling.

It's Euro 6D-CI (compression ignition) and the V5 has no emission figures. We pay the standard rate of RFL for a TC11 - private or light goods with a revenue weight of 3500kg or less.

About RFL... we're discussing new vans here as the OP BooBooKing has purchased a brand new vehicle so has no need to think about sliding scales etc.

It's not what he's asked.

The way I read it...
Euro 6c. Full Euro 6 requirements without RDE.
Euro 6d -TEMP. Full Euro 6 requirements with temporary RDE conformity factors.
Euro 6d -CI. Full Euro 6 requirements and RDE testing against final conformity factors.

Thing is, all Euro 6 engines must be on road PN NOx tested anyway, same goes for CO. The RDE test is becoming redundant as RDE emission limits can be defined by multiplying the emission level with a standardised conformity factor.

I have zero clue what the 'Y' is or means and can't find any appendix or addendum applicable to it but a few years ago CoC's we're showing the letter with the V5 simply having Euro 6.

Something similar was raised in a thread on here back in 2018.
