Ducato lack of spare wheel - Another point of view.

After reading the other thread about the lack of a spare wheel, I did not want to hijack the discussion, so here is a new question.

Our new Ducato based 'van came with a steel spare wheel and jack. Both VERY heavy.

As, there is no way I can lift the wheel, I have taken it out. Which leaves me thinking why not take out the jack as well?

I would be very interested in hearing about peoples' experiences in such a situation. Do the emergency services cope?
And at what cost?

Have the levellers, so no Jack, no spare, just gunk, also have the secret weapon of the MH registered to a disabled owner, superfast priority service( in the EU anyway).

You may think that’s the case, but help is never far away, wait for passing traffic or just wait until September as from then text messaging will be available on IOS via satellite. we are becoming less and less isolated. Emergency text to break down services via satellite is already available in the US.

So very shortly no phone signal will not be an issue either.
