Hi All
Below is a pic after overnight rain. Rain clearly gets in via the bonnet inlet. Does this happen to others, and what is that water running down into? And is it anything to worry about?

Used to happen to my last MH, which looks exactly like yours.

I just added into my first works, to soak up the water with some kitchen roll prior to departure. As i was checking other oils and lubricants anyway.

Rightly or wrongly, i worried about excess water been sucked into the engine?

Which upper part do you mean?
The grill at the top inside supplies air to the interior via the pollen filter.

Ours does exactly the same, it drains out the back of the engine compartment. If you follow it down the back you will see.
Just make sure the drain doesn’t get blocked.

That is the air intake for the heater/fan system inside the cab. There is a water outlet just down the tube and the air is taken from the top of the pipe, so what you have is not an issue.

The part on the bonnet is just a plastic grille with maybe 8mm holes!

It happens to mine All the time, I usually sponge out the water before driving off, as I dont really want all that water in there, drained or not! Water also gushes out of the scuttle onto the engine. I have built a dam system around the scuttle out of sticks like $hit & quality silicone, cut off the flap on the end of the scuttle drainage pipe that regularly blocks up the scuttle drainage system (by collecting debris) & causes flooding over the engine & bought one of these for when the van is stationary:

The pollen filter is behind the drop down glove box type thing in the center of the cab (or cup holder). A fex torx bolts and its out. Bit fiddly
You mean somewhere here?
If it's there, I understand now why after service in Fiat Professional there was one of those torc bolts in the cupholder and, after dismantling it I found that they had broken a plastic bit there:mad:

There's a oneway drain at the back of the box. If worried , make sure there are no leaves or crap blocking it .
Checked mine last week and was surprised what came out.

Yes, mine is the same. The water runs out down the back of it. Terrible design, I don't know why they couldn't take air in via the front grill.

It's fine. It's designed to cope with water. If you're driving along the motorway in heavy rain, it'd inhale a lot more than that.
