After removing the electric bed actuators on my Hymer B534DL the raises and drops as it should.

BUT

there is no restraining strap when the bed is raised up. Mine is a 2017 model so the same as all others of similar or newer age. Can someone tell me whether theirs has a restraining system on it to prevent it dropping whilst driving and possibly a picture ?

thanks.

The manual one has a 6mm dia steel pin on each side that locates in a black block on the side can't remember if it was aluminium or plastic. The block position is adjustable, the pins are released by cables and the mechanism is released by the wooden section on the front of the bed.
It's a bit naff the pins only locate in the block a few mm.

Talk to Chris bellabee nicely she may send you some photos.

We have a 2019 Burnster a class with the manual drop don bed. As stated held up by 2 pins linked via a cable to a central pull lever. True the pins do not go in far, no safety strap fitted. We recently had the annual damp check and as we. Drove away from the dealership the bed dropped down one side. A poor design we always shake the bed when putting it up to make sure the pins go home.

No pins on mine, but I suspect the side supports/plates are different, it still has the gas struts which take the weight of the bed. it take a good pull to drop it but it goes back up quite easily. WE'll take it for a short run on some of our bumpy roads to see how it goes, wife can make a strap to take the weight (as on the older versions).

She will when she has a decent Internet connection, and if she can work out what you mean

The easiest way to see them is drop the curtain sides down on the bed it’s just a plastic or carbon block each side with locating hole in it for the bed pins to click into here is a picture.
